r Darning plate
Attach the darning plate.
Align the holes in the button with the horizontal slot of
the foot.
Lower the foot to hold the button in place.
Adjust the stitch width so the needle will enter into the
left hole in the button.
Turn the handwheel several times so that the needle will
enter the right hole in the button. Readjust the stitch
width if necessary.
Sew about 10 stitches at a slow speed.
Raise the presser foot and remove the fabric.
Cut both needle and bobbin threads leaving 10 cm tails.
Pull the bobbin threads to bring the needle threads to the
wrong side of the fabric then knot the threads.
After sewing is finished, remove the darning plate.
