Active Speaker System
Operation of the speaker system is easy,
even for users without any expert knowl-
edge . However, please read these instruc-
tions carefully prior to operation and keep
them for later reference .
1 Applications
This 2-way speaker system with separate
power amplifiers for the high-frequency
range and the low-frequency range is
suited for versatile sound applications . The
robust plastic cabinet can be set up in many
different ways and the DSP (digital signal
processor) offers four selectable presets for
an optimum sound . An integrated limiter
will protect the speakers and prevent signal
distortion .
For special requirements concerning
low-bass reproduction, the speaker systems
can be easily complemented by an active
subwoofer . The model PSUB-418AK is ideally
matched to the speaker series PAK-400 and
features the same cabinet design .

4 Setting into Operation

4.1 Setting up the speaker system

Place the speaker system on a solid surface
and align it towards the audience . Place the
tweeters at ear level, if possible . The bevelled
design of the cabinet also makes it possible
to operate the speaker system horizontally
as a stage monitor which will radiate the
sound diagonally upwards .
Alternatively, place the speaker system
via the stand sleeve on its lower side on a
standard speaker stand with a tube dia meter
of 35 mm (e . g . from the PAST series of IMG
STAGELINE) . For additional mounting op-
tions, e . g . suspension, five M10 threaded
jacks are provided (2 on the upper side, 2 on
the lower side, 1 on the rear) . If you use
these jacks, unscrew the plastic cover caps .
