2 Safety Notes

This unit corresponds to the directive for electromagnetic compat-
ibility 89/336/EEC and to the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
Caution!
With this meter, very high voltages dangerous to life can be
measured. Particular care must be taken when measuring volt-
ages higher than 42 V! When handling the test prods, always
make sure to keep your fingers behind the protection. Never
operate the multimeter if the meter or the test leads are dam-
aged. Damaged test leads must be replaced.
Please observe the following items in any case:
The meter is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against
dripping water and splash water, high air humidity, and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use chemicals or
water.
No guarantee claims for the meter and no liability for any re-
sulting personal damage or material damage will be accepted
