Enter the message with the keys (5). 4 different charac-
ters are assigned to each key. Press the corresponding
key so many times until the desired character appears
on the display, then release the key. When the flashing
cursor reappears, enter the next character. To change
between small letters and capital letters, press the key
SHIFT (13) before pressing the corresponding letter key.
Blank characters can be entered with the key SPACE
(17). Wrong characters can be deleted with the key
ERASE.
Note: An integrated filter will prevent the display of cer-
tain vulgar English expressions. You may enter
them but when the message is displayed, they will
be replaced by asterisks.
b Call of a preprogrammed message
99 English messages are available. They are listed on
pages 56 to 57. To call a message, first press the key
LIBRARY (11), then the two corresponding numerical
keys (5) [e. g. for message No. 7, first press the key "0",
then the key "7"]. The selected message will be dis-
played. If desired, enter an individual message after this
message.
4) To check the message, press the key PLAY (20) once. The
message will be displayed once.

If required, an individual message can be corrected
afterwards: Press the key EDIT and change the message
with the input keys as desired.
5) The message can be memorized under one of the 10
memory locations M0 to M9 or as a BANNER message:
a Memorizing a message under M0 to M9
When calling a message memorized under M0 to M9,
this message will be displayed once (also see chapter
4.2.2).
First press the key STORE (14), then the memory key
M0 to M9 (16) of the corresponding memory. As a check,
the message will be displayed once (unless the key
PLAY was already pressed as a check before memo-
rizing – see operating step 4).
b Memorizing a message as a BANNER message
In the mode "BANNER", the message memorized as a
BANNER message will be displayed continuously at
short intervals (also see chapter 4.2.1).
First press the key STORE (14), then the key BANNER
(12). As a check, the message will be displayed once
(unless the key PLAY was already pressed as a check
before memorizing – see operating step 4).
Note: A maximum of 469 characters entered may be
memorized in total, i. e. in all memories M0 to M9
and in the memory BANNER. If this maximum is
