In order to reduce the risk of the disease of
white fingers it is necessary to take the following
recommendations into account:
• Always wear gloves.
• Be aware of the possibilities when you have hot
hands.
• Take frequent breaks.
• old the machine firmly by the handles.
If you detect some of the symptoms of the white finger
disease consult your doctor immediately.
2.3. SAFETY IN THE WORK AREA
Do not use this machine in explosive
settings, or in the presence of flammable
liquids, fumes and dust. Electrical machines
create sparks which can ignite the dust or fumes.
The danger zone consists of everything
ithin a 15 m radius of the machine and
must not be trespassed while the machine
is running (safety zone). When necessary, use strips
and warning signs to mark the security area.
Keep children and onlookers away while handling this
machine. Distractions can cause loss of control. Make
sure that no people or animals come near the work
area.
When the work must be performed simultaneously by
two or more persons, always check the position and
location of each other in order to keep a safe distance
between eachother.
Keep the work area clean and work with good lighting.
Only use this machine in daylight or adequate artificial
lighting. Cluttered and dark spaces cause accidents.
Inspect and remove any objects that can cause
damage to you or to the machine.
Inspect your work area and remove all stones, wood,
wires, and foreign objects which might come into
contact with the cutting tool.
2.4. ELECTRICAL SECURITY
This device must only be connected to alternating
current of 230V/50 Hz.
Do not expose the machine to rain or
moisture. Contact with water will increase
the risk of electric shock.
Never cut the cable. This risks electric shock and
damaging the machine.
The electrical plug of this machine must match the
base of the socket. Do not modify any plugs in any
way. Unmodified pins and matching bases reduce the
risk of electric shock.
When using this machine, avoid contact with things
like metal fences, pipes, etc. that are connected to
land. Contact with these things increases the risk of
electric shock.
Do not touch the cords and plugs with wet hands.
Do not abuse the cord. Do not use the cable to carry,
lift or unplug the machine. Keep the cord away from
heat, oil, sharp edges or parts in motion. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use this machine with the cable or the plug
damaged. Before connecting the machine, check the
plug for damage. If you discover any problems send
your machine to an authorized repair shop. If the
cord is damaged or broken, unplug it immediately. A
damaged or entangled power cord increases the risk
of electric shock.
