Electrical installation

The supply cable must be connected up by
a qualified electrician in line with VDE 0100.
3.6.1
Connecting operating unit
1. Open the electrics box at the control column.

2. Connect the power cable and make the limit switch
connection in line with the circuit diagram.

Refer to Section 8 for the circuit diagram.
3. Check the protective conductor.
3.7
Starting up lifting platform
3.7.1
Raising lifting carriage
1. Set the master switch to the ON (I) position.
Lifting platform is activated.
2. Press the control lever upwards (o) and hold
in position.

If the platform does not rise: Check the direction
of rotation of the motor in the hydraulic unit. The
direction can be reversed by swapping two phases.
3.7.2
Lowering lifting carriage
¶
Press the control lever downwards (u) and hold in
position.

If the locking pawls are not released: Re-adjust the
tension of the broad coil springs until the locking
pawls function properly.
3.7.3
Bleeding hydraulic system
¶
Raise and lower the lifting carriage several times by
way of the control lever.

The hydraulic cylinder is bled automatically by
operating it several times. The hydraulic fluid may
have to be topped up in the process.
3.7.4
Hydraulic system pressure test
1. Move the lifting carriage upwards as far as it will go.
2. Leave the motor running for a further 5 seconds and
then release the control lever.
3. Check all hydraulic pipes for leaks. Seal any leaking
connections.
3.7.5
Checking limit switch
1. Move the lifting carriage upwards.
2. Press the switch rod at the overhead beam upwards
during the lifting operation.

The lifting operation must come to a halt as soon as
the switch rod is raised.

Check three different positions: In the center of the
switch rod as well as in the vicinity of each lifting
column.
3.7.6
Concluding operations
1. Secure all loose cables and hoses with cable ties.
2. Grease the threads under the mounts.
3. Make sure all bolted joints are appropriately
tightened and secured.
4. Fit the cover for the operating unit at the control
column.
5. Fit the cover for the latching mechanism at the
secondary column.
6. Attach all stickers in the intended positions.
7. Check the fluid level again.
3.7.7
Lifting platform trial run
¶
Perform a lifting platform trial run at rated load.
