Only use PMU inks, which have been
E
tested and approved for penetrating
human skin, for the treatment. Ob-
serve the applicable regulations in
your country when making the selec-
tion. If PMU inks are introduced into
the skin that are not intended for per-
manent make-up treatment or whose
sterility is not guaranteed, infections
or possible side effects may occur.
Only use new, sterile-packaged safety
E
cartridges for each client for each new
application. Before each usage, ensure
that the packaging is undamaged and
that the use-by date has not passed.
Note the lot number of the needle car-
tridges used in the corresponding cus-
tomer file in order to be able to inform
the manufacturer in the event of prob-
lems.
needle cartridges are sterile, dispos-
E
able products (consumable) and may
always only be used once!
Dispose of used or defective needle
E
cartridges
and
needle
whose packaging is damaged, in a
artyst NO.1
puncture-proof container (so-called
sharps container) according to the
regulations in your country.
Check that the needles are completely
E
retracted into the needle cartridge be-
fore the treatment and with the hand-
piece switched off. If this is not the
case, dispose of the needle cartridge
immediately.
Prevent the needle cartridges from
E
coming into contact with contaminated
objects, e.g. clothing. Contaminated
needle cartridges may not be used,
rather must be disposed immediately.
During use, the handpiece, handpiece
E
cable and device including integrated
handpiece tray, must be covered with
a plastic sheet. The handpiece is cov-
ered with the plastic sheet before the
needle cartridge is attached (see
chapter Pulling the hygiene sleeve on).
Check on a regular basis if the hand-
E
piece has become visibly contami-
nated by the return flow of bodily flu-
cartridges,
ids (e.g. blood) or micropigmentation
inks used. In this case, in addition to
the regular disinfection, observe chap-
ter 7.4  on page  39 and 7.2  on
page  38 as well as chapter  2.2  on
page 26.
If a local anaesthetic is used, it must
E
be carefully removed before treat-
ment.
Always hold the handpiece securely
E
before switching it on, or place it on
the handpiece tray. If an unsecured
handpiece is switched on, it can move
due to vibrations and injure or prick
people (see chapter 6.3 on page 37).
Injuries caused by contaminated needles
or needle cartridges can lead to the
transmission of diseases. Seek medical
attention immediately if injured by a con-
taminated needle
to prevent the intensity of treatment
from exceeding the desired extent:
Avoid risk of injury from excessive
E
needle protrusion depth.
Avoid risk of injury due to too high of a
E
piercing frequency (see chapter Set-
ting the piercing frequency).
