NOTICE
Device damage caused by non-approved
cleansers or disinfectants
Cleansers or disinfectants that are not
compatible with the materials of the device
can damage its surface.
Always use cleaning agents and disin-

fectants that are approved, i.e. that
comply with stipulations in your coun-
try.
Pay attention to compatibility of materi-
E
als when selecting cleansers and disin-
fectants (see chapter 7.2 on page 38).
Disconnect the control unit from the
E
power supply.
Wipe the control unit, handpiece cable,
E
handpiece and handpiece tray with a
soft cloth moistened with a cleanser.
Wipe the handpiece, control unit,
E
handpiece cable and handpiece tray
with a soft cloth moistened with disin-
fectant.

Checking the equipment

Conduct a visual inspection of the
E
equipment:
– Are there any visible signs of exter-
nal damage (e.g. bends in the con-
necting cable, a loosened cap near
the cable connection)?
– Are there any exposed cables?
– Are the needle cartridge and the
needles correctly aligned? Are all
needles completely retracted into
the needle cartridge?
Switch on the handpiece and conduct
E
a noise test: Can you hear any unusual
operating noises, or is the unit running
loudly?
If you detect anything unusual, refer to
E
chapters 9  on page  39 and 10.1  on
page 40.
If the device is no longer operating
E
safely, take it out of service and con-
sult your local specialist retailer.

Using the device

6.1
Switching the control unit into
operating mode or standby mode
To switch the control unit into operating
mode:
Ensure that the power supply is estab-
E
lished (see chapter5.2 on page 34).
The control unit is in standby mode.
Switch on the control unit by briefly
E
tapping one of the three operating but-
tons.
You will hear a short signal tone.
The preset piercing speed appears on
the display (SPEED LEVEL 6).
The piercing speed pulses (light/dark)
as long as the handpiece is switched
off.
