ATTENTION
The demounting of the axes that hold the mobile elements can
cause the falling of the posterior rollers, and there is the tisk
of crushing or perforation the operator´s legs.

3.5.6. FRAME WITH DISK BATTERY (OPTIONAL)

The working depth of the disk support is adjusted by means of the
hydraulic cylinder (rod) (1 Fig. 14). A further adjustment may be
performed also mechanically, by means of the adjustment holes (3
Fig. 14). In order to set the disks' angle of approach one will have
to use the rod (bar) (4 Fig. 14) and in order to adjust the battery's
working position at a certain angle one has to use the (rod) bar (2
Fig. 14). The setting operations will be performed with the disks
down on the ground and with the supporting bases (pedestals)
placed in "down" position.
The disk support may be fitted only on the versions 3 m – 5 anchors
and 4 m – 7 anchors.

3.5.7 METAL TANGS AND FINS

Thanks to this accessory, the soil explosion is kept under control
through a series of adjuster holes (Fig. 15).
The metal tangs are fitted directly onto the anchor in their hole
particular.

3.5.8 CONTAINING FLAPS (OPTIONAL)

This accessory is applied to the side of the equipment and ensures
that the clods of earth and kept within the area, preventing them
from falling onto the cultivated part or the part still to be worked
Before transiting on the road, withdraw the flaps within the bounds
of the machine and block them into place using the bolts, as shown
in Figure 16.
CAUTION
Danger of cutting hands while working and handling the
equipment.

3.6 BEFORE STARTING WORK

Before starting the seeding operation grease all parts indicated by
transfer nr. 9 ('GREASE') at page 29 of this leaflet.

3.7 DURING WORK

Always respect the following rules for successful sowing:
- Keep the hydraulic hoist in the position that allows the
equipment to work parallel to the ground.
- Every now and then check that the screws are tight enough;
in particular, tighten the nuts of the vehicle wheels. For new
machines or after repair, tighten all the screws after the first
10 ha.
- Check the safety of the tensioner bolts for integrity and da-
mage. Check the safety pins (integrity, damage) and replace
them if necessary.
- Check for possible defects in the pins of the upper and lower
arm and of the chains with split pins.
- Check the condition of the bearings and the gaskets: da-
mage and wound-round material (metal wires, wires, plant
residues, etc.) should be eliminated immediately.
- Check the integrity of the bearings.
- Check that the locking device for transport is working pro-
perly.
- Check the tightness of the hydraulic system, and replace de-
fective hoses immediately; use only original spare parts.
- Keep the warning stickers on the machine in legible condi-
tion.

USE AND MAINTENANCE

fig. 16
- The use of non-original or stronger pins may lead to serious
damage to the equipment.
- Lower the seed drill when the tractor is in forward gear, to
avoid clogging or damage to the planter shoes; for the same
reason the tractor should not reverse when the seed drill is
on the ground.
- Maintain a work speed compatible with the type of soil and
tilling in order to avoid breakages or damage.
