Connection
Make sure that the distance between receivers' or LED strips' mains cable and
connection cable is as large as possible (at least 5 cm) and that the mains and
connection cables are not laid in parallel.
This prevents interference between the mains cable and lamp connection cables.
Avoid crossing the mains cable and LED modules. If you cannot prevent crossing, for
safety reasons carry it out with the largest possible angle where technically possible.
This prevents HF interference on the mains cable.
6.2 Connection variants
The components of the LIPROTEC system can be assembled and connected in the
following combinations:
One or more LED strips (LT ES 11 to LT ES 61), connected to a power pack with an
upstream light switch (see the "Directions for use for LED strips", Fig. F)
One or more LED strips (LT ES 11 to LT ES 61, LT ES 9), connected to a receiver for
remote control, with an upstream power pack and optional light switch (see the
"Directions for use for LED strips", Fig. E)
One or more LED strips (LT ES 11 to LT ES 61, LT ES 9), connected to a building
automation system that takes over the power supply and control functions (see the
"Directions for use for LED strips", Fig. G)
The possible connections applicable to the existing component are described below.
6.3 Connecting the LED strip to the power pack
Possibility of electric shocks when connecting a component to a live power pack!
Connecting a component to a live power pack can lead to very severe or deadly injuries.
Before carrying out any work, make sure that the power pack's mains plug is
unplugged.
Only plug the mains plug into the socket once all work is complete.
Risk of fire due to overloaded connections!
Burning components and cables can lead to severe or deadly injuries.
Only ever connect one cable to a power pack's connection terminals.
Follow the special instructions in the directions for use if several components are to
be connected.
Connecting one LED strip directly to a power pack
Run the LED strip's connection cable to the incoming cable channel through the
mounting profile's borehole.
