12 Decommissioning, disassembly
Electrical shock is possible in case of improper disassembly.
Disassembly by unauthorised personnel can lead to a deadly electrical shock.
Have the component decommissioned and disassembled by qualified, expert
personnel only.
12.1 Decommissioning
Proceed as follows to safely decommission the LIPROTEC system:
Switch the LIPROTEC system off.
Unplug the power pack's mains plug from the socket.
You can now disassemble the LIPROTEC system's individual components.
12.2 Disassembling LED strips connected to the power pack
Proceed as follows to disassemble an LED strip:
Make sure that the power pack's mains plug is unplugged.
Wait 10 seconds after unplugging the mains plug.
Loosen the wires of the 24 V connection cable on the power pack. Also read the
directions for use for the power pack for this purpose.
If you use empty tubes and want to install a new LED strip, connect a pull cord to the
loose end of the connection cable.
You can use this pull cord to subsequently pull the new LED strip's connection
cable into the cable channel or empty tube.
Pull the connection cable out of the empty tube.
If necessary, make sure that the pull cord remains accessible at the other end.
Loosen the LED strip from the foundation by vertically pulling it off and upwards.
12.3 Disassembling LED strips connected to an installation box
Proceed as follows to disassemble an LED strip:
Make sure that the system is de-energised and/or that the power pack's mains plug is
unplugged.
Wait 10 seconds after unplugging the mains plug.
Open the respective installation box.
Loosen the connection cables from the terminal connectors.
If you use empty tubes and want to install a new LED strip, connect a pull cord to the
loose end of the connection cable.
