Help in the case of faults
Temporary faults
Voltwerk VS 3, 4, 5
String inverters of the Voltwerk VS series are fully automatic
and require no maintenance. If a fault occurs with the
inverter, the current fault indicator will be shown by means of
| LED indicators,
| the display and/or
| Voltwerk monitoring unit
The inverter may switch off temporarily in the following
cases:
Grid fault
The Voltwerk VS series string inverter monitors the single-
phase feed of power to the grid using the phase-shifting
process. If there is a fault in the public power grid, each
string inverter detects this fault due to the change in
frequency of the current. The string inverter switches off. The
inverter waits 2 minutes before switching back on after a grid
fault.
DC overvoltage
If the DC input voltage exceeds the limit value of 940 V, the
inverter interrupts the power feed to the grid. It switches off.
A permanent DC input voltage of over 940 V can cause
lasting damage to the inverter.
