The mains cable is used to connect PE.
| Connect the mains cable first, and then the solar generator
cables.

Preparation

Supply
As a single-phase inverter, the string inverter supplies power
over one phase only. If you are operating more than one
Voltwerk VS series string inverter in parallel, the power
supply phase for each string inverter must always be
distributed equally across grid phases L1, L2 and L3.
Solar power system
By measuring the voltage on the solar power system, you can
determine possible causes of faults (cabling, part shadowing
or defective solar modules) and rectify these before installing
the inverter.
Earthing
Solar power system lines must not be earthed. They must be
insulated against PE. Before connecting the solar power
system lines, measure the insulation resistance.
Sealing plugs
Before you connect the cables, remove the sealing plugs
from the string inverter. Leave all connections that are not
required sealed. Otherwise, the string inverter will no longer
comply with IP 65 protection rating requirements. Store the
sealing plugs at a suitable location.
