funCtIon - use
1. Ensure that the appliance is placed in a perfectly horizontal position.
2. L ift the appliance's lid and fill the water tank with the required quantity of cold water, using the cup from
which you are going to drink coffee. Make sure that the water level does not exceed the maximum-
level mark on the inside of the water reservoir.
3. P ut one or two cups under the spouts. If you would like to brew one cup off coffee, place the cup in the
middle.
4. P ut the required quantity of ground coffee into the permanent filter. Distribute the coffee evenly.
5. P ut the plug in the wall socket and switch on the appliance by using the start button. The control light
will now illuminate.
6. T he coffee machine automatically stops when the brewing is done. If you wish to halt the brewing
prematurely, you can push the start button again. The control light will extinguish.
7. Remove the plug from the wall socket.
• The appliance will not keep the coffee in the cup warm.
• Allow the appliance to cool down before using it to brew additional coffee!

CleAnInG And MAIntenAnCe

1. S witch off the appliance, take the plug out of the socket, and allow the coffee maker to cool.
2. C lean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid, and then dry it thoroughly.
Make sure no moisture gets into the appliance.
3. W ash the permanent filter in hot water and dry it thoroughly.
• N ever immerse the coffee maker, the plug or the cable in water. Never put the appliance in a
dishwasher. Only the permanent filter may be immersed in water.
• N ever use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes)
to clean the appliance.
CleAnInG And MAIntenAnCe - descaling
Limescale can reduce the efficiency of your coffee maker. Limescale is common in areas with hard water.
We advise the use of a suitable descaling agent to remove any scale. Always follow the instructions for the
descaling agent. The amount of scale will be reduced when you use a water softener.
tHe enVIronMent
• D ispose of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste containers.
• W hen this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting it in a dustbin;
hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Please refer to
the symbols on the product, the user's instructions or the packaging.
• T he materials can be re-used as indicated. Your help in the re-use, recycling or other means of
making use of old electrical equipment will make an important contribution to the protection of the
environment.
• C ontact your municipality for the address of the appropriate collection point in your neighbourhood.
