HOW TO PLUG THE BATTERY PACK
The battery pack and the battery charger
are delivered in separate boxes. Please
ensure you have well received these
boxes and check the contents.
● Unplug the battery pack when the tool
is not used.
● Do not leave the battery pack on the
charger when the charger power supply
is off.
● Insert the battery pack in front or behind the
tool.
There is no ON/OFF switch: the tool is ready
to operate as soon as a loaded battery pack is
mounted.
When the tool is powered on, the Desoutter logo
is displayed and the LEDs are blinking.
● Wait for a few seconds while the software is
being initialized.

HOW TO PLUG AN ACCESSORY
Accessories are delivered on request only.
● Contact your Desoutter representative
for more information.
● Plug an accessory into the quick-release
output as shown and assign a Pset to it.
● To learn how to assign a Pset, refer to the
user manual dedicated to the ExBA software
available at https://www.desouttertools.com/
resource-centre.
You will also learn how to set up and use the
functionalities of the software embedded in
the tool.

QR ACCESSORY READER
1. The QR accessory reader is powered on.
2. The accessory has been recognized and the
Pset which has been assigned to it is ready
to run.
3. The reading/writing of the accessory is in
progress.
REMOVING THE CROWFOOT

ADAPTER
The Crowfoot adapter can be removed for space
requirements.
● Contact your Desoutter representative for
more information.

OPERATING MODE

● Fit the tool with a suitable fastening
accessory.
● Hold the tool by means of the handle and
apply to the fastener to be tightened.
● Press the trigger to start the tool.
● For a reverse rotation, press the reverse
button and apply the tool to the fastener.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Maintenance should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
● Prior to any maintenance task, disconnect the
tool.
Overhaul and preventive maintenance
is recommended at regular intervals
once per year or after maximum 500,000
tightenings depending on which occurs
sooner.
Assembly and disassembly
● When disassembling the tool electronics, take
extra care for the wires when pulling out the
connectors.
● When disassembling the tool front assemblies,
take care for the torque transducer wires.
● Follow standard engineering practices and
refer to figures/exploded view for the mounting
of component subassemblies.
● Prior to putting the equipment back into
service, check that its main settings have not
been modified and that the safety devices
work properly.
