• If the set temperature has been reached,
the element will switch off automatically. Five
buzzers sound. The ON/OFF button light
continues to flash slowly. The set tempera-
ture is shown on the display.
• The warming function is activated for
2 hours. This is indicated by the flashing
ON/OFF button. The display keeps showing
the set temperature.
C Boil water to 100°C, cool down to 90°C to
60°C and keep warm
• Press the ON/OFF button. The button
lights up. The heating process starts. The
temperature rise can be seen on the display.
• Press the or button before the water
starts boiling. Set the desired temperature
with the buttons. The selected temperature
flashes quickly on the display for 5 seconds.
The temperature rise can be seen again.
The ON/OFF button light flashes slowly.
• After reaching the temperature of 100°C
the heating element automatically switches
off. You will hear three beep tones. The ON/
OFF button light continues to flash slowly.
• As soon as the water temperature has
decreased to the set temperature you can
hear 5 beep tones. The warming function is
activated for 2 hours. This is indicated by the
flashing ON/OFF button. The display keeps
showing the set temperature.
NOTE:
• Pressing the ON/OFF button or removing
the water kettle from the base immediately
terminates the warming function. The water
temperature in the kettle is indicated on the
display.
• After two hours the appliance automatically
terminates the warming function.
Switching off/Interrupting Operation
There are two ways to stop/interrupt the boiling
process:

• The appliance switches off automatically after
the water has boiled.
• Press the ON/OFF button again to end the boil-
ing process.
The ON/OFF indicator lamp turns off.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the appliance from the base
without switching it off beforehand.
The terminals on the base are not suitable for
interrupting the power supply.
WARNING: DANGER OF SCALDING!
• When pouring the water out, keep the lid
closed.
• During operation the housing becomes hot.
Do not touch it and allow the device to cool
down before storing it away.
• Remove the mains plug.
• Emptying the water container.
Storage
• Clean the appliance as described and allow it to
dry.
• We recommend that you keep the appliance in
the original packaging if it will not be used for
long periods.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of
children in a dry, well ventilated place.
Cleaning
WARNING:
• Always turn the device off before cleaning
it and remove the mains plug. Wait until the
device has cooled down.
• Never immerse the device or the base in
water or other liquids.
This may result in electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
• Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive
objects.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
