1. Place the machine on a fl at surface.
2. Please use the handle in the lid to open the kettle.
3. Then fi ll in the water. Please do not overfi ll the kettle.
4. Close the lid until you hear it lock in place.
5. Electrical connection
Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as
that of the machine. The relevant information is to be found on the type
plate.
Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket. The
changeover of the voltage from 120/240V and vice versa is carried out by
means of the switch on the bottom of the device.
6. Switch the device on with the switch above the handle.
7. The control lamp lights up.
8. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. Now discon-
nect the kettle from the mains power supply. Always hold the lid closed when
pouring the water out. Beware of scalding!

teaspoon, located on the inside of the handle. Open the upper section of
the handle by turning it and pulling it upwards. Remove the spoon and then
reclose the handle before using the device.
Always pull out the plug from the socket before cleaning!
The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly
damp cloth without additives.
Clean the inside either with a damp cloth or with detergent.
The machine must never be immersed in water!
The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the hardness of the
water and on how often the appliance is used.
If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be
decalcifi ed. Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available decalci-
fi cation agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the
instructions.
