INSTALLATION INSTRUCATIONS
STEP 10: DRAIN LINE CONNECTION
1. If the end of the drain hose does not fit the drain line,
use a heat and detergent resistant adapter (not sup-
plied). One may be obtained from a local plumbing
shop.
2. The 2 typical connections are shown in Figs. 14 and
15. To prevent siphoning, one of the following con-
nections should be used.
For disposal or waste tee connections
For air gap connections, cut o drain hose at dotted line
* For drain hose installation, it is recommended to use the screw style clamp provided with this dishwasher in the sil-
verware basket.

This loop of the drain hose must be a minimum of 20"
(508 mm) to protect the unit from getting a backflow
of water from the sink.

DRAIN REQUIREMENTS
y Follow local codes and ordinances.
y Do not exceed 10 ft. (3 m) distance to drain.
y Do not connect drain lines from other devices to the
dishwasher drain hose.
y If an extension drain hose is required, us 5/8" or 7/8"
inside diameter, 2-3 ft. length hose and a couplet for
connecting the two hose ends.
When installing the drain hose to a disposer, be sure
that the plug on the disposer has been removed.
If the disposer plug has not been removed, the
dishwasher will not be able to drain properly.
NOTE
Be sure to follow all mfg. instructions, for the dis-
poser, when removing the plug.
