Turn on the TV and select the VCR channel 3 or 4 (or AV
mode).

The B.E.S.T. (Biconditional Equalized Signal Tracking) checks
the condition of the tape during recording and playback, and
compensates for poor reproduction to provide the best quality
recording and playback pictures. *The default setting is "ON".

TURN ON THE VCR

move the highlight bar
(arrow) to "FUNCTION
SET", then press OK or .
SELECT B.E.S.T. MODE

move the highlight bar
(arrow) to "B.E.S.T.", then
press OK or to set to
"ON" or "OFF".
NOTE:
When recording or when
playing back tapes
recorded on this VCR set
the B.E.S.T. to "ON".
