- Perform a 90°C cycle to remove all
manufacturing residues.
- The operator must be able to check soap
compartments with ease. Place a platform if
necessary.
- Make certain that laundry trolleys are
lower than the door's bottom edge.
- If need be, mount appropriate bumpers to
prevent trolleys from hitting and damaging
the door.
- Never open the soap compartment when
the machine is being filled with water or
it is heating.
7.9 ORDINARY MAINTENANCE BY
THE USER
BEFORE
ANY
MAINTENANCE
OPERATION, CHECK THAT THE
WALL CUTOFF SWITCH IS OFF AND
THE WATER TAPS ARE CLOSED.
THE DRUM MUST BE STILL AND
DRAINED AND THE TEMPERATURE
INSIDE IT MUST NOT EXCEED 40°C.
Periodically clean the external panels with
a damp cloth, and keep especially clean the
area around the soap dispenser. Never use
inflammable or abrasive products and rub in
the direction of the satin-finish.
Notes concerning the control panel and
graphic display
- Do not clean the LCD display and the
keypad using acetone, alcohol or other
chemical agents. Also avoid using oil and
grease.
- Prevent contact of the glass with lacquer or
resin that may contain solvent.
- The glass can easily get scratched, cut or
broken. Be very careful when treating and
cleaning it. Clean only with a soft and dry
cloth.
WARNING! Do not exercise pressure on it.
- During use, condensation building up on
the glass can irremediably damage the
display. Even when not in use, any water or
saliva drops must be dried at once.
- In case of contact of body parts with the
fluid leaking out of a broken display, wash
with water and soap. In case of accidental
ingestion, see a doctor. Although the
product's toxicity is very low, it is still
necessary to proceed with caution.
- Just like any other electronic component,
the display is susceptible to electrostatic
discharge. Take the usual measures for use
and handling.
NEVER WASH THE APPLIANCE USING
WATER JETS.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
BACK ON BY THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR
MAINTENANCE AND
REPAIR PERSONNEL
8. EXTRAORDINARY
MAINTENANCE AND ORDERING
SPARE PARTS
8.1 CONTROL ELECTRICAL PARTS
To access the electrical section of the
machine, open the front panel using the
attached keys and remove the top rear panel.
The general electronic control boards are at
the front, whereas the power board - inverter
included - are at the rear. To access the
motor it is necessary to remove the sides
and/or back panels. To reach the electrical
valves it is necessary to remove the top cover
of the machine. To access the electric lock,
remove the panel located in front of the door
handle.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE
BACK ON BY THE WALL CUTOFF
SWITCH, PUT ALL THE PANELS YOU
HAVE REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
8.2 TROUBLESHOOTING
• If the machine does not work, check the
following:
- the main cutoff switch on the wall is on and
the machine is getting current;
- the cutoff switch at the back of the machine
is on
- the emergency button has not been pushed
- the door is closed;
- the START push-button has been pressed;
- the warm water, hard cold water, soft cold
water and steam taps are open (the steam tap
only for steam-heated machines). All the
water inlets are really fed.
If the fault is not due to any of the above
causes, call the authorised after-sales service
or your dealer (see last page of this booklet).
8.3 SAFETY DEVICES
- Door closed safety microswitch cuts off
power to the whole auxiliary circuit and
consequently stops the machine.
- Electronic thermal switch (overload cutout)
within the motor: disconnects power supply
in the event of coil overheating.
- Air-break system in the soap dispenser:
prevents wastewater from polluting the
drinkable water system in the event of a
depression.
- Normally open drain valve: enables safe
manual door opening by means of the handle.
- Tilt switch: avoids mechanical damage in
the event of irregular loads.
- Fuse-fitted heating elements. the electric
circuit is disconnected in case of malfunction.
-Emergency button that stops the current
cycle in an emergency event
-Dispenser-lid switch: it interrupts water
take-in when opened during a cycle.

8.4 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE (TO
BE CARRIED OUT BY TECHNICIANS)
Maintenance must only be carried out by the
authorised after-sales service or by qualified
personnel.
BEFORE
ANY
MAINTENANCE
OPERATION, CHECK THAT THE
WALL CUTOFF SWITCH IS OFF AND
THE WARM WATER, COLD WATER
AND STEAM TAPS ARE CLOSED
(THE LATTER APPLIES TO STEAM-
HEATED MACHINES ONLY). THE
DRUM MUST BE STILL AND
DRAINED
AND
THE
TEMPERATURE MUST NOT EXCEED
40°C.
Be very careful during maintenance. NEVER
override or ignore safety devices for any
reason. Use only original spare parts. If
doubts should arise, contact your sales person
immediately, explaining what the fault is
and indicating some information on the
machine: model and serial number (details
reported on the rating plate appearing on
the rear of the machine or inside the door,
where applicable).
MONTHLY CHECKS
- Make sure that the filters located on the
outer part of the electrical valves are clean.
- Make certain that the steam valve strain is
clean (this applies to steam-heated machines
only).
- Clean the soap dispenser from any soap
remains.
- Clean the door gasket and the tub inlet with
a cloth.
- Clean the inverter-cooling fan from dust
and lint. This fan is located in the top rear
part of the machine.
- Every 200 hours of operation, or else once
a month, it is necessary to introduce lithium
grease type SKF-LGEP 2 or ESSO-
BEACON EP2 in the three lube points
located at the back of the machine (cfr. fig.1,
ref. 22).
This grease is meant to lube the seal ring as
well as front and rear bearings. The machine
displays the "lube needed" request when the
next cycle after 200 hours of operation is
started. When the machine has been lubed,
it is possible to remove the message by
setting the hour meter to zero as follows:
close the door, hold down the "UP" key for
10 seconds, and then zero the hour count
pressing the "DOWN" key when the number
of hours appears. The count will then start
back from zero.
YEARLY CHECKS
- Make certain that the floor fastening nuts
are securely closed (if applicable).
- Ensure that the bolts indicated below are
tight as per the fastening torque values
indicated, using a dynamometric wrench.
