2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
IGNORING ANY OF THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS MAY LEAD TO
PERSONAL INJURY AND CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO BOTH
THE LINEN AND THE MACHINE.
• Read the installation and instruction manual before connecting the
machine.
• The machine must be installed by qualified technicians and
according to the installation instructions (see chapter 3).
• In order to avoid the risk of electrocution, the earthing regulations
should be complied with.
• Do not expose the machine either to high humidity or to extremely
high or low temperatures.
• All water, steam and electricity supplies must be cut off at the end
of every working day.
• Before starting repairs or maintenance, shut off all electricity and
water supplies.
• To prevent fire and explosion:
- Keep the area around the machine free from inflammable or
combustible products.
- Do not load the machine with fabrics that were soaked with
inflammable products. Air or rinse them first.
• Always read carefully and follow the instructions on the packing
of detergents. Store these products out of the reach of children.
• Always mind the instructions on the labels of clothes.
• Never allow children to play in the surroundings of the machine.
NOTE:
These guidelines cannot exclude every risk of accident. It is up to the
user to act with the utmost precaution.
Do not hesitate to contact the dealer in case of a problem.
3. INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
3.1 Ground (fig.1)
The machine should be placed on a flat, solid floor (either on a metal
or concrete base or on solid ground). It is necessary to anchor it
slightly on its position, especially if it stands on a plinth (fig. 1, A) (see
Dimensions" 1.2).
The machine should be installed on a level surface. For easy
maintenance, keeping a minimal distance of 400 mm (600 mm for
models 23, 26 and 33) between the wall and the back of the
machine is warmly recommended.
3.2. Removing transport protective devices (fig.2 and 3)
To prevent damage during transportation, the machine is equipped
with 2 red transport safety brackets (models 23, 26 and 33: 4
brackets) which prevent any possible movement of the tub. Remove
these protections after the machine has been installed on a level
surface.
IMPORTANT: Do not put the machine into operation before
removing these transport protective brackets.
3.3 Installation of several machines in line
If several machines are installed in line, a minimum distance of 30
mm should be kept between one machine and the next.

3.4 Water connection
The machine is delivered with hoses having 3/4" connections. These
hoses fit the machine water inlets and the water supply faucets. To
ensure perfect operation of the inlet valves, water pressure in the
supply pipes should be comprised between 0,5 and 10 kg/cm
and 145 psi). If water pressure is too low, washing cycles will
become irregularly long.
NOTE:
Boiler-fed machines should always be provided with sufficient water
at 90°C:
- for model 8:
65 litres
- for model 11: 80 litres
- for model 18: 140 litres
3.5 Drain connection
The machine is equipped with a Ø 6/4" or 50 mm (3" for models
23, 26 and 33) drain valve, which must be connected to the
sewerage by the supplied drain hose.
NOTES:
- The diameter of the main drain should be adapted to the flow and
number of machines, being 80 litres/minute (160 litres/minute for
models 23, 26 and 33) the minimum flow rate per machine to be
discharged.
- For the purposes of good drainage (ventilation) the main drain
should be connected to an open air-brake at least on one side.
- If the main drain produces bad odours, provide every machine with
a separate U-trap.
- If the drain is clogged while spinning, the machine will switch to
safety operation and then it will try to drain again.
3.6 Electrical connection
After connection (fig. 5), always check the spinning direction. The
drum should spin in the direction of the arrow appearing on the door
glass sticker (clockwise). Wrong spinning direction will damage the
motor and cause water to spurt from the soap dispenser.
In case of wrong spinning direction: exchange the connection of
terminals "R" and "S" in the connection terminal board.

- 6 x 4000 W
3.7 Steam connection (steam models only)
• Together with the washing machine, a flexible reinforced pipe is
supplied, which must be connected to the appliance coupling "J" by
interposing the mechanical filter supplied and a cutoff gate tap.
• The solenoid steam valve works with pressures ranging from
200 KPa to 450 KPa. See the rating plate on the appliance in order
to choose the most suitable pressure rates.
• Water heating in the tub is done by direct steam, therefore, a
condensate drainage system need not be foreseen in the appliance.
THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGE OR
ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY DISREGARDING THE INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS.

- for model 26: 125 litres
- for model 33: 150 litres
