NBR 5410, the installation of a device to protect
against residual differential current (RD device)
in the electrical installation of your residence is
compulsory. The function of the "DR" is to protect
the user against serious electrical shock risk
(consult an electrician).
Additional Safety and Operation Instructions
Carefully read instructions and get familiar
with the controls and proper used of the
equipment.
Remember that the operator or user is
responsible for any accident or damage
involving people or their properties.
Do not operate the equipment barefooted or
with sandals. Always wear adequate shoes
and pants, goggles, gloves and ear plugs.
Avoid operating the equipment in humid
places. Use the equipment in a well lit
environment.
Wear gloves to introduce residues material
in the shredder. Use a long piece of wood to
push small pieces.
Before feeding any kind of foliage, startthe
motor and wait for it to reach maximum
revolution.
Do not introduce anything in the equipment
with the motor off.
Never operate the shredder with the cover
open or without the belt protection guard.
Attention!
Do not use a water jet to clean the
equipment. Use a cloth soaked in mild
detergent. Water inside the equipment can
damage the winding.
5 - Service
Call a qualified professional to
service the equipment. Use original
parts only. Always call TRAPP
Authorized Service Technicians.
TRAPP is not responsible for occasional
accidents caused by the use of spare
parts that are not original.
If the equipment starts to vibrate, turn it off
immediately. Check the cause of vibration as
it indicates the equipment needs adjustment
or repair.
Make sure the voltage of the power source is
the same of that of the equipment.
Do not use the equipment during periods of
power supply failure.
Check power supply cord. Do not mend it
with insulating tape.
If the motor does not start (locked),
immediately switch it off.
Should any anomaly be observed during
operation, switch the shredder off. Look for
TRAPP nearest authorized assistance.
If potentially dangerous situations are
known, accidents can and must be avoided!
