Fitting and removing the rotary file
DANGEr!
Only use permitted NiTi file systems with conicity > 2% su-
itable for rotation work. Follow the instructions of the file
manufacturer (preparation methods, rotation speed, torque,
torsion resistance, etc.) and use files in a correct manner. File
shafts must conform to DIN EN ISO 1797-1 Type 1 and DIN
EN ISO 3630-1 standards. Only use rotary files that satisfy
the following criteria: shaft diameter: from 2.334 to 2.350 mm
Do not use files that show signs of wear, deformation or stress,
or files that do not conform to the relevant ISO standards.
DANGEr!
Always wear gloves to avoid the risk of lesions and infections
when checking, cleaning, repairing or extracting teeth.
DANGEr!
Only fit the file in the handpiece when the handpiece is
stopped. Never attempt to grip a file while it is rotating,
even when it is nearly stopped.
DANGEr!
Never press the locking button on the handpiece while
the instrument is in use or has not quite stopped. Doing
so can cause the bur to become loose of cause the
locking system to overheat and break.
DANGEr!
AVOID CONTACT between the patient's cheek and the
locking button during use. This could lead to the bur
being accidentally released, resulting in burns or lesions
to the patient.
WArNING!
Never operate the handpiece without a file in the spindle.
This could cause the handpiece to overheat, causing
damage or burns. Never exceed the maximum speed
specified by the file manufacturer. Keep file shafts clean
