Turn switch [C] to MIN and switch [B] to or to a fairly
slow charging rate, or turn switch [C] to MAX and switch
[B] to or for fairly fast charging rate.
Turn switch [A] to /ON
If the overload cut-out is tripped, the ON/OFF light will
go out.

Turn switch [B] to with a Volt battery, or to the 4 if
the battery is of 4 Volt type.
Turn switch [C] to MIN for slow charging or to MAX for
rapid charging.
Connect the battery charger to main supply

To break off charging disconnect first the mains supply, then
remove charging clamp from car body or negative terminal (-)
and charging clamp from positive terminal (+)
The appliance is equipped with a thermostatic cut-out with
automatic reset which is tripped in case of thermal overload
to protect the device against any overheating.
External protection fuse
The instrument is protected against reverse connection by a
strip fuse in the control panel. Replace blow fuses with others
of the same rating and shape. Never use makeshift solutions
such us wires or bars instead of fuses.
Starter connection: sequence of operations
IMPORTANT for STARTING:
Starting procedure must always be carried out with the battery
connected. When starting very larger engines in severe
climates, briefly recharge the battery (about 15 minutes) at a
very high current before starting.
When starting diesel engines, to prevent the damage to the
glow plug which would otherwise result, pre-heat the plug
before starting the engine using the battery chargers.

Ensure that switch [A] is in 0/OFF position (Mod.) or
that the battery charger is disconnected from the electric
current net.
Connect red charging clamp to positive (+) battery terminal
and black charging clamp (-) to negative battery terminal
or, in case of a car, to the car body far from the battery and
the fuel duct
Mod.3
Turn switch [B] to START.
Turn switch [A] to /ON
Wait about two minutes.
Turn the ignition key, turning the engine over for only 4-5
seconds at each attempt.
Mod.4
Turn switch [B] to START.
Connect the battery charger to main supply
Wait about two minutes. Turn the ignition key, turning the
engine over for only 4-5 seconds at each attempt.

Disposal
Recycle waste packaging, products and accessories in
compliance with environmental rules.

separately and sending it to environment-friendly recycling

Généralités et avertissements
Avant de charger les batteries, lisez attentivement le contenu
de ce manuel. Lisez la notice de la batterie et du véhicule
correspondant.
Cet appareil n'est pas destiné à être utilisé par des personnes
(notamment des enfants) dont les capacités physiques,
sensorielles ou intellectuelles sont réduites, ou par des
personnes manquant d'expérience ou de connaissances, à
moins que celles-ci ne soient sous surveillance ou qu'elles
aient reçu des instructions quant à l'utilisation de l'appareil
par une personne responsable de leur sécurité.
Veillez à ce que les enfants ne puissent pas jouer avec
l'appareil.
Le chargeur de batterie convient uniquement pour charger
une batterie acide au plomb.
Connecter seulement à une convenable prise de courant
avec contact à la terre, afin d'assurer la protection contre
les contacts indirects.
N'utilisez pas le chargeur de batteries si les câbles sont
abîmés, s'il a reçu un coup ou s'il est endommagé.
Ne pas démonter le chargeur de batterie mais l'apporter
chez un centre après vente autorisé.
Le câble d'alimentation doit être remplacé par personnel
qualifié.
Eviter absolument toutes inversions de polarité en
connectant les pinces à la batterie.
