(2) Regarding the temperatures of the rechargeable
battery
The temperatures for rechargeable batteries are as
shown in Table 2, and batteries that have become
hot should be cooled for a while before being
recharged.

(3) Regarding recharging time
Depending on the combination of the charger and
batteries, the charging time will become as shown in
Table 3.

NOTE
The charging time may vary according to temperature
and power source voltage.
4. Disconnect the charger's power cord from the
receptacle.
5. Hold the charger firmly and pull out the battery.
NOTE
After operation, pull out batteries from the charger
first, and then keep the batteries properly.
Regarding electric discharge in case of new
batteries, etc.
As the internal chemical substance of new batteries
and batteries that have not been used for an extended
period is not activated, the electric discharge might
be low when using them the first and second time.
This is a temporary phenomenon, and normal time
required for recharging will be restored by recharging
the batteries 2-3 times.
How to make the batteries perform longer
(1) Recharge the batteries before they become completely
exhausted.
When you feel that the power of the tool becomes
weaker, stop using the tool and recharge its battery.
If you continue to use the tool and exhaust the electric
current, the battery may be damaged and its life will
become shorter.
(2) Avoid recharging at high temperatures.
A rechargeable battery will be hot immediately after
use. If such a battery is recharged immediately after
use, its internal chemical substance will deteriorate,
and the battery life will be shortened. Leave the battery
and recharge it after it has cooled for a while.
CAUTION
When the battery charger has been continuosly used,
the battery charger will be heated, thus constituting
the cause of the failures. Once the charging has been
completed, give 15 minutes rest until the next
charging.

Approx. 60 min.
If the battery is recharged when it is warm due to
battery use or exposure to sunlight, the pilot lamp
map light in green.
The battery will not be recharged. In such a case, let
the battery cool before charging.
When the pilot lamp flickers in red (at 0.2-second
intervals), check for and take out any foreign objects
in the charger's battery installation hole. If there are
no foreign objects, it is probable that the battery or
charger is malfunctioning. Take it to your authorized
Service Center.
BEFORE USE
1. Preparing the Nails and Performing Safety Inspections
WARNING
Do not use the product near flammable liquids or gases.
Do not place the product near children or other non-
qualified people.
Run a full check to make sure that no screws are loose.
Check to make sure that there are no damaged or
missing parts, or malfunctioning parts owing to rust,
etc.
Prepare nails that match the job at hand. (Refer to
NAIL SELECTION)
Refer to MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION and carry
out safety inspections without fail.
2. Checking Push Lever Operations
WARNING
Always make sure the trigger is locked and the battery
removed from the power tool when checking push
lever operations.
Move the nose up and down and check that the push
lever and nose slide smoothly. (Fig. 9)
Clean the sliding area on the push lever if it doesn't
slide smoothly.
3. How to Use the Nose Cap
WARNING
When attaching and detaching the nose cap, be sure
to turn off the trigger and disconnect the battery.
When nailing decorative plywood or other soft
materials, attach the nose cap to the nose.
The nose protects the surface of the workpiece from
scratches or damage.
(1) Attaching and detaching the nose cap
The nose cap is attached simply by pressing it onto
the nose. Holding the nose cap with the holes toward
the front of the power tool, match the three protrusions
with the three notches in the nose. (Fig. 10)
To detach the nose cap, pull it off with your fingers.
If the nose cap is hard to detach, insert a slotted
screwdriver or thin bar into the gap between the
nose and the nose cap.
(2) Storing the nose cap
After removing the nose cap, insert it onto the shaft
of the magazine stay through the holes. (Fig. 11)
4. Loading Nails
CAUTION
When loading or removing the nails, be sure to turn
off the trigger and disconnect the battery.
NOTE
Use nail strips of 20 or more nails.
This power tool is designed so that the anti-blank
firing mechanism is activated when less than 11 nails
remain.
