15 Switching the Blower On and Off

To remove the connecting cord:
► Release trigger switch.

► Pull the plug (2) straight out of the blower socket (1) with
steady, even pressure.
NOTICE
Avoid exposing the battery to excessive heat or cold or
prolonged periods of direct sunlight. Use or storage outside
the recommended ambient temperature range can reduce
the performance and/or service life of the battery.
15 Switching the Blower On and Off

15.1 Switching On

WARNING
Never operate your blower if it is modified, damaged,
improperly adjusted or maintained, not completely and
securely assembled or not functioning properly, @ 5.5. To
reduce the risk of personal injury, always wear proper
clothing and protective apparel, including proper eye
protection, when operating your blower, @ 5.4.
Before switching on:
► Make sure you have a secure and firm footing.
► Stand upright.

► Always operate the blower with your right hand firmly on
the control handle. If using the hip pad or comfort hip pad,
always operate the blower with your right hand firmly on
the gripping surface.
To switch the blower on:

► Depress and hold the trigger switch lockout (1).
► While holding the trigger switch lockout, push the retaining
latch (2) forward with your thumb and release it.
The LEDs indicate the current power level.
► Squeeze the trigger switch (3) with your index finger.
The blower will activate.
The motor will not switch on unless the trigger switch lockout
is depressed, the retaining latch has been pushed forward
and the trigger switch has been pressed.
The further the trigger switch is depressed, the stronger the
blowing force.
If the trigger switch and the trigger switch lockout are
released, the LEDs will remain flashing for approximately
5 seconds. As long as the LEDs are flashing, the blower can
again be switched on without pushing the retaining latch
forward.
