When making the attachment with threaded bolts:
The following should be observed when making drill holes in plastic dash-
boards:
–
Check beforehand that there is sufficient room for the drill head to emerge
once the holes have been made.
–
When tightening the nuts, ensure that they cannot be pulled through the
dashboard (you may have to use bigger washers or plates).
➤
Drill a hole of Ø 5.5 mm on the previously marked points.
➤
Screw the monitor holder on using M 5 x 20 mm threaded screws.
Breakthrough for the monitor connection cable
As far as possible use original ducts or other alternative ducts for the connec-
tion cable duct (see fig. 8.A, page 9), e.g. the paneling edges, air grilles or
blank panels. If there are no existing ducts, you must drill a hole of Ø 18 mm.
Check beforehand that there is sufficient room for the drill head to emerge
once the hole has been made.
➤
Drill a hole of Ø 18 mm behind the monitor.
➤
Grind all drill holes that have been made in the sheet metal and apply rust-protection.
➤
Place a cable sleeve in all sharp edged ducts.
➤
Plug the extension cable into the "camera" socket (see fig. 5, item 6) and the connec-
tion cable into the "power" socket (see fig. 5, item 4) on the back of the monitor.
➤
Lay the connection cable and the extension cable under the dashboard.
