Attaching the camera holder using self-tapping screws

Self-tapping screws may only be used:
for attaching the holder to sheet steel with a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm.
Observe the following when making the drill holes into the sheet metal:
–
Check beforehand that there is sufficient room for the drill head to emerge
once the holes have been made.
–
Using a hammer and centre punch, make a small dent to prevent the drill
head from slipping.
–
Grind all drill holes and provide them with rust-protection.

Drill a hole of Ø 4 mm on the previously marked points.

Screw the camera holder on using 5 x 20 mm self-tapping screws (see fig. 10.B,
page 11).

When making the attachment with threaded bolts:
Observe the following when making the drill holes:
–
Check beforehand that there is sufficient room for the drill head to emerge
once the holes have been made.
–
When tightening the nuts, ensure that they cannot be pulled through the
dashboard (you may have to use bigger washers or plates).

Drill a hole of Ø 5.5 mm on the previously marked points.

Screw the camera holder on using M 5 x 20 mm threaded bolts (see fig. 10.C,
page 11).
