Caution!
The plug connection of the system does not offer any protection against water
penetration. It is essential that you wrap the connection with sealing tape. The
most suitable tape for this is self-vulcanising tape e.g. from 3M.

Electric connection for the monitor

Connect the monitor connection cable as follows (see fig. 13, page 14):
–
Red cable to terminal 15 (ignition).
–
Black cable to terminal 31 (earth –).
–
Brown cable to the positive cable of the reverse headlamp.
–
White cable to the positive cable of the dashboard illumination.

Testing and setting the monitor

Switch the ignition on.

Switch the monitor on by pressing the ON/OFF switch (see fig. 14.B1, page 15).

Set the brightness and contrast as required.
If you have completely connected all of the monitor cables, the brightness
should be automatically reduced when the driving lights are switched on.

Switch the monitor off with the ON/OFF switch.
➤
When the ignition is turned on, the monitor should switch on as soon as reverse gear
has been selected.
➤
Switch out of reverse and the system switches back to stand-by.
The inverter is located on the rear of the monitor (blue dip switch, (see fig. 5.E, page 6)
for normal or inverted display on the monitor. With the inverted display, the monitor acts
as though you were looking in the rear-view mirror of your vehicle.

Decide which type of display you want and switch the dip switch into the required
position.
