7. Life phases
7.8.2 Putting a number of lifting columns into operation
•
Test the safe state of the lifting columns.
•
Insert the connector of the lifting columns supply line in the connecting socket of the cont-
roller marked for the drive.
•
Insert the connector of the hand switch connector in the connecting socket of the controller
marked for the connector assignment.
•
Carry out an initializing run (see controller operating instructions).
•
Note when raising and lowering the lifting column that this operates the limit switch and at
the same time switches the lifting movement off in the top and bottom end positions.
7.9 Maintenance of the lifting column
Generally, the lifting column does not require servicing, but it is not exempt from wear and tear.
This means that in the case of excessive wear, or in the case of non-replacement of worn product
parts, the safety of the product could be compromised.
Work with the lifting column may only take place in accordance with these instructions.
The device may only be opened by authorized specialist personnel. If there is a fault with the lif-
ting column, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer or send this lifting column for
repair.
•
If you are working on the electrical system or on electrical components, these must be isolated
from the mains first to prevent any risk of injury.
•
Unauthorized conversions of or changes to the lifting column are not permitted for safety re-
asons. Safety-relevant devices must be inspected for proper function and completeness at
regular intervals.
