1. General instructions

The present operating and safety instructions are for the user. Please read the instructions carefully and thoroughly and
take heed of the regulations before putting the device into operation!

2. Safety instructions

2.1. Purpose / correct use: The function of the calf's milk warmer has been optimised for use in cylindrical containers
with an average diameter of max. 22 cm and for volumes of liquid of up to 10 litres. If these conditions are deviated
from (e.g. in terms of the volume of liquid, container shape, container material and external temperature), the
warming time can be extended and no guarantee can be given that the set target temperature will be reached
precisely. In the event of incorrect use or modifications to the device, the manufacturer's warranty and liabilities
shall be deemed invalid. The voltage specifications on the type plate must match the voltage specifications of the
power source.
2.2. Check all components before each implementation: Damaged parts are only to be repaired by a specialist or by the
manufacturer. Repairs done improperly can result in accidents for the operator. Use only original parts for any even-
tual repairs.
2.3. Safety: Before cleaning, rearranging or servicing the device always first pull the plug from the power source!
2.4. Guard the connection lines: Do not use the connection line to pull the plug from the power source or to carry the
device. Take precautions that the connection lines are not exposed to heat, oil or sharp edges. Damaged connection
lines can cause fires, short-circuiting and electric shocks. In the event that the connection line of this device gets
damaged, it must be replaced by a special connection line available from the manufacturer or from customer service.
2.5. Regular servicing: Always store your device securely, out of reach of children, and dry. Heed all possible maintenance
regulations. Check the device at regular intervals. Use only original spare parts and accessories.
2.6. National and international regulations: National and international safety, health and labor regulations are to be
heeded.
2.7 Disconnect unit from the mains: The unit must be disconnected from the mains after use. The unit is not switched off
and thus disconnected from the mains if the power cable remains attached to the socket.
3. Operating instructions
3.1. Purpose: The milk heater is designed for heating up milk and food prepared with water. For other purposes, espe-
cially for avoiding freezing of water, for instance in feeding troughs, the milk heater must not be used.
3.2. Operating instructions:
3.2.1. Immerse the milk heating element into the liquid. Pay attention to the minimum depth that is marked by the little
grove on the tube just above the heating element. The maximum depth is marked further up the tube and must
not be exceeded. In any case the heating element must always be immersed in its entirety and the handle must
never get in contact with the liquid. The container must be of heat-resistant material. Do not use plastic contai-
ners!
3.2.2. Plug the mains plug into the outlet that has been installed by a qualified electrician. It has to be equipped with a
differential-current switch (FI) with a response current of 30mA. After having plugged in the milk heater the liquid
must not be touched anymore.
