2. Safety
2.1 General
• Read the following instructions carefully before assembling and using the unit.
• Anyone tasked on behalf of the user with commissioning, operation, maintenance or repair must have read and understood the operating in-
structions and in particular the chapter on safety.
• The company using the unit is recommended to draw up in-house instructions taking account of the respective operator's known technical quali-
fications and to have the compliance with the instructions and operating instructions or participation in a training session confirmed in writing.
• The unit must only be operated, maintained and repaired by trained and authorised personnel.
• The responsibilities for the various activities that arise during the course of the operation and repair or maintenance of the unit must be clearly
defined and complied with, so that no unclear competencies arise from the aspect of safety. With all work relating to commissioning, mainte-
nance, inspection or repair, the regulations or advice listed in the operating instructions must be observed.
• Failure to comply with the individually listed points in the operating instructions can result in physical injury or material damage for which the
manufacturer assumes no liability.
2.2 General information regarding safety and warning instructions
Danger!
Imminent danger which leads to serious physical injury or death.
• Only open the control unit and carry out maintenance work on the entire machine when the mains plug is disconnected!
• Work on the control unit, motor and electrical cables may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• In the event of a fault, the mains plug must be disconnected first. The fault must be eliminated only by authorised personnel.
• The unit must be operated from a 230 V socket outlet with a protective earth contact. This must be fused with a B16 A circuit breaker (LS). In
addition, a separate 30 mA residual current circuit breaker (FI) must be provided. A combined FI/LS switch with adequate tripping characteristic
may be used.
• The residual current circuit breaker should only supply the circuits intended for this unit.
• The mains plug may only be connected to the socket when the machine has been fully assembled and fixed to the wall.
• Do not use extension cables to connect the unit.
• Check the function of the residual current circuit breaker regularly using the function key.
• Keep away from the machine during operation and when the mains plug is not pulled out!
• The unit must always be secured against falling or toppling over while being installed, repaired or maintained – risk of fatal injury!
• Place a retaining strap around the rod end and secure with a lifting device!
• During installation and especially during operation, never reach inside the machine (behind the safety panels). Risk of injury!
• Do not enter the machine's working area until the mains plug has been disconnected.
• People with loose clothing or uncovered long hair must not approach the unit. Risk of injury!
• Never touch or try to stop the rotating brushes.
Caution!
Risk of physical injury to people and animals and material damage if used incorrectly!
• Before commissioning and operating the unit, these operating instructions must be read and noted carefully.
• Ensure that the unit is only used by people who have the professional skills required to do so.
• Keep children and frail individuals away from the unit.
• Note the safety and maintenance instructions.
• Maintenance and cleaning work must only be carried out by trained personnel.
• The operator must ensure that only authorised personnel work with or on the unit.
• The unit must be used exclusively in accordance with intended use and in a technically safe condition!
The operational safety of the unit is only guaranteed if it is used for its intended purpose. Failure to comply with the individually listed points in
the operating instructions can result in physical injury or material damage for which the manufacturer assumes no liability.
• Any manner of working that impairs safety on the unit is prohibited.
