The customer must protect the cables from the motor and sensor to the control box against
chewing / biting.
3.4. Electrical connection
The voltage and frequency must be 230 V / 50 Hz.
A 16A alternating current socket and a 16A alternating current plug must be installed to connect the machine and this
must only be done by a licensed electrical company. This must be installed out of the animals' reach (above the machine).
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility and offers no guarantee for any damage caused by connections not set up by
trained professionals. Before commissioning, the machine must be conductively connected to the pen installation's
potential equalisation system. Local safety and earthing requirements must be observed. Ask your electrician!
The machine must be separately protected with a 16A fuse! If the machine is fuse-protected with one
or more large consumers, functional faults and damage can occur to the electronics!
4. Operation
4.1. Switching on
Once the power supply is connected, the machine is ready for operation after around 20 seconds. The machine indicates
its readiness for operation by displaying a flashing dot in the display (see also point 4.3.4 Reading the force setting and
the operating hours).

4.2. Function
The motor is activated by moving the brush out sideways, as the sensor detects the resting position of the brush unit.
When the carriage leaves the rest position, the brushes start to rotate for the set cycle time (factory setting 90 sec.). Once
the working cycle is complete, the control waits for further activation, upon which the direction of the brushes' rotation
changes to the opposite of the preceding cycle. This ensures that the brushes wear out evenly.
4.3. Display and electronics
The display serves to indicate the operating status (faults). The electronics control the activation,
safety shut-off and the cycle length.
