A. LUMBAR, HEADREST, LATERALS
The TC Back can be used with all existing headrests and
laterals, as long as no interference with the battery or
battery pouch is encountered.
The use of lumbar inserts is OK, as long as the inserts
don't interfere with the path of fans.
B. SWITCH BOX MOUNTING OPTIONS
1. There are multiple ways to secure the switch box to the
wheelchair. Choose the position and method best suited
for your individual preference. (Either on left or right
side of your WC.)
2. The switch box can be mounted anywhere you desire
by simply applying the supplied hook and loop Velcro to
the side of the switch box and your wheelchair armrest,
frame, or other desired location, (Fig.2.0).
3. The supplied Switch box mount (shown in white for
clarity) can be used to attach the switch box to either
a vertical or horizontal tube of diameter .75" to 1.12",
using the supplied double sided tape and zip ties,
(Fig.3.0 - 4.0).
4. The switch box can be mounted to a flat surface using
zip ties also, (Fig.5.0).
5. The switch box can be permanently mounted to the
wheelchair using the supplied double sided tape.
Caution – This method will be near permanent and is
only advised if none of the other methods are practical.
C. BATTERY CHARGING (REMOVAL / REPLACEMENT)
1. The battery should be charged prior to first use. Simply
plug the charger first into a 230 volt wall outlet, then into
the battery. Charging is taking place when the light on
the charger turns red. Charging is complete when the
light turns green.
2. The battery has a charge level indicator built into it.
Push and hold the red button on the side of the battery
to determine current level of charge. Green indicates a
fully charged battery, yellow indicates charge is nearing
it's end, and red indicates it's time to charge.
3. Open the flap on battery pouch (on the back of cover),
and insert the battery into the holder, orient the battery
terminal per the label on pouch. Be sure the battery
plug fully inserts into the receptacle. Pull the battery
pouch flap firmly over the top of the battery and secure
by engaging the Velcro® hook and loop.
