3. Commissioning

Good
The indicator 5 and the laser beam will flash during the automatic levelling process. When
the levelling has been successfully completed the indicator 5 and the laser beam will be
permanently on and the rotation head will begin to turn.
Note:
• If the batteries are adequately charged, the indicator 4 will be permanently lit.
If this indicator flashes the batteries must be replaced. If it is not possible to
switch the PRIMUS-H Laser on the batteries / accumulators are completely
discharged.
• If the automatic levelling fails (e.g. due to inadequate coarse alignment by
means of the in-built spirit level – see above) the indicator 6 will be
permanently lit. In this case, the laser must be switched off and the coarse
alignment repeated.
• If the PRIMUS-H is not able to carry out automatic levelling within 2 minutes (e.g. due to
significant ground vibration) the indicator 6 will flash. In this case too, the laser must be
switched off and on again.
Operating Instructions
Before switching on, roughly align the rotation laser with the
help of the built-in spirit level. Press the button 3 to switch on
the unit. The automatic levelling will start immediately.
