7.3 Operating the laser detector
Procedure:
•
Switch on the laser detector with the button 14
and align vertically with the help of the spirit level
28. The indicator 16 shows that the laser detector
is switched on.
• Align the laser detector with the laser beam while
observing the indicators 30 and 13/15.
• When the laser beam exactly coincides with the
zero mark, the detector indicates this by both ar-
rows (30 and 13/15) lighting up simultaneously
and by emitting a continuous tone.
Note:
• Different sound sequences for the high or low range help you find the centre.
• The detector has an automatic switch-off feature. If no button is pressed or no laser sig-
nal is detected for a period of 5 minutes, then the detector will turn itself off automatically.
At the same time a short audible signal will sound.
Tip:
A mm scale (33) is provided on both sides of the laser detector for measuring an offset.

7.4 Changing the batteries

To change the batteries, carefully open the battery compartment with the help of a coin or a
screwdriver.
Note:
• Take care that the polarity of the batteries is correct (see
illustration on the right).
• If the detector will not be used for a longer period, we
recommend you to remove the batteries.
