Dear customer,
Congratulations on your choice of a factory-assembled
model aircraft from the robbe Modellsport range. Many
thanks for placing your trust in us.
The Red Hawk is available in two versions. The model No.
3241 is almost completely factory-assembled. The model in
ARF form is also supplied with servos, motor and speed
controller installed.
Note: the recommended accessories for the kit version are
not identical to the components supplied in the ARF ver-
sion. Please note the recommendations in the instructions.
Very little work is required to prepare the model ready for fly-
ing. You can make it as easy as possible to operate your
new model safely by taking the trouble to read right through
these instructions attentively, together with the separate
information sheets and safety notes, before you fly it for the
first time.
All directions, such as "right-hand", are as seen from the
tail of the model, looking forward.
Adhesives (for repairs)
Use robbe Speed Type 2 cyano-acrylate glue ("cyano") with
the associated activator ("kicker") for all repairs to this
model.

Radio control system
For this model you need a radio control system with at least
four channels. We recommend the use of a computer trans-
Assembly and operating instructions
Red Hawk KIT, Red Hawk ARF
mitter, so that you can easily set up the control surface trav-
els, fine-tune the servo neutrals, and adjust the servo direc-
tions and Expo settings at the transmitter.
Installing two aileron servos makes it possible to set up the
ailerons as flaps, and mix them in to the elevator in the
opposite direction. Superimposed flaps make the model
much more agile. We recommend that you use servos of the
same type throughout the model.
See the separate sheet entitled "Essential accessories" for
the model No. 3241KIT.
Please consider the arrangement of the receiving system
components before you start construction.
If you wish to use a system other than the one we recom-
mend, you can still keep to the arrangement shown, but you
may have to make allowance for minor differences in com-
ponent sizes.
Set the servos to centre (neutral) from the transmitter (sticks
and trims central) before you start construction. If the ser-
vos are fitted with output levers or discs, remove them at
this stage.
Decals
When applying the decals you can emulate the arrangement
shown in the kit box illustration.
Notes on the building instructions
These building and operating instructions apply to both ver-
sions of the Red Hawk model.
Various stages of construction described in these instruc-
tions will be superfluous, depending on the version you
have chosen. Simply skip the irrelevant sections.
Depending on the version of the model you have pur-
chased, the servos described and shown in the instructions
may not be the same as those included with your model or
recommended for it.
