gear hand drilling is prohibited! The reaction torque may lead to hazardous situations in case
of careless use.
The user shall be responsible for damages caused by inappropriate use.
Generally accepted accident prevention regulations and the safety instructions enclosed shall be
observed.
Power supply
Before starting the machine, compare the supply voltage and frequency with the data stated on the type
plate. A voltage difference of +6% / -10% is permitted. The machine is always supplied with an
integrated PRCD safety switch to be used with a grounded socket. Before using the machine, always
check the proper function of the PRCD safety switch (see special instructions).
Caution! Do not use the PRCD safety switch to switch the machine on or off!
Do only use an extension cable with sufficient cross section (at least 2.5 mm
too small may lead to excessive loss of power and overheating of the motor and the cable.
Safety Instructions
Read and observe these instructions before you use the machine.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR THE MACHINE:
1.
Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
2.
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire
may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric
shock.
3.
Do only use the core drilling machine under constant supervision. Unplug the power plug and make
sure that the core drilling machine is switched off when it is left unattended, during assembly and
disassembly work, voltage drop (below 200 V), adjustment and/or assembly of accessories,
maintenance etc.
4.
Do not use the machine if a part of the housing is damaged and/or if the switch, connecting lead or
plug is damaged (daily visual inspection!). Damages shall be removed by an expert immediately.
5.
The machine shall not be damp or wet.
6.
Wear ear protection if you work with the machine for a longer period of time. Permanent noise may
lead to hearing damage.
7.
Wear safety helmet, safety goggles and/or face protection. It is also recommended to wear a dust
mask and thickly padded gloves.
8.
Make sure that the tool is assembled properly before you start operating the machine.
9.
Carefully check all screws for tightness before you start operating the machine. Due to vibrations
during operation, screws may become loose and cause damages or accidents.
10. Make sure no one is below your workplace when using the machine in areas above the ground.
11. Keep hands well away from rotating parts.
12. During machine operation, make sure that the cooling water never enters the motor and electrical
parts.
13. If there is a leakage between the plastic ring and the gearbox, stop working immediately and have
the machine repaired by an authorised shop.
14. Overhead (upward) drilling shall only be carried out when a suitable protection (water collecting
device) is used.
15. After malfunction, do not switch on the motor unless the drill bit rotates freely again.
16. Avoid touching the drill bit immediately after dry cutting. It may be very hot and cause severe burns.
17. In order to avoid starting the machine unintended, always trigger the switch when the plug has
been removed from the socket or the power supply has been interrupted.
18. Make sure you always stand in a firm position and be aware of the reaction moment of the
machine.
