Warning! Do not damage the sealing rings during assembly.
The machine has an external water supply provided by the work spindle. With the help of the ball valve,
you can regulate the required water quantity.
The water supply is equipped with a connection for Gardena hose couplings.
Caution: The water pressure at the connection should not exceed 3 bar.
In case of drilling overhead, the water shall be sucked off at the drill hole by a water collection
ring and wet suction device for safety reasons and performance reliability of the machine.
Operation
Dry Drilling
In order to start drilling a hole without problems, it is recommended to use drill bits allowing for
integration of a centre drill. The electronic positioning switch makes it possible to start drilling the hole
slowly and the drill bit is intended to penetrate the material approx. 5 to 10 mm. After having removed
the centre drill, the drill bit is slowly inserted in the hole and the maximum rated speed is reached by fully
pressing the switch.
Wet Drilling
Open the ball valve and switch on the machine. Hold the machine firmly with both hands. Apply the
machine with a slight inclination (approx. 30° to the machine axis) or use the spotting drill. When the drill
bit has penetrated the surface (approx. 1/8 to 1/4 of the circumference), position it (right angle) and use
sufficient surface pressure.
Do use a spot drilling, especially for larger drill bit diameters, when starting a hole.
Make sure that the drill bit does not tilt while drilling.
!
Caution!
Please take into account that the machine provides a very high torque especially in the
st
1
gear. Concentrate on hand held drilling in particular when drilling holes with a
diameter of over 70 mm. If the drill bit is suddenly blocked, the machine may be torn
out of your hands despite the safety clutch and cause injuries.
Adjust the feed to the drill bit diameter and the power of the machine. Pay attention to the LED at
the handle (see Overload protection).
If the drill bit is jammed, do not try to remove it by switching the machine on and off. Switch off the
machine immediately and remove the drill bit by turning it to the right and to the left using a suitable
open-ended wrench and pull the machine carefully out of the drill hole.
