Connecting to a PC
To connect the camera to a pc for data back-up, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the camera.
2. Plug one end of the included USB cable into the camera's Mini-
USB connector [1] and plug the other end into a free USB port on
your computer. The camera switches on automatically.
3. Select MSDC.
4. On the pc, look for the removable drive that represents the
camera.
The photos are in the JPG folder; the video files in the VIDEO folder,
and the emergency videos in the EVENTS folder. You can copy,
delete, or view the files from here.
Note: to disconnect the camera from the pc, use Windows' Safely
Remove Hardware function to stop the device before you unplug
the USB cable. On a Mac, use Eject.
10. Using as a Webcam
To use the camera as a webcam with your pc, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the camera.
2. Connect the camera to the pc with the USB cable.
3. Select PCCAM. The first time you connect to a pc, the pc
automatically installs the driver. When the camera is ready for
use as a webcam, it appears in the Devices list (SIRI A9).
11. Connecting to a TV
To connect the camera to a TV for video playback, you have the
following options:
Plug one end of the included HDMI cable into the camera's HDMI
connector [9], and plug the other end into the TV.
Plug a TV cable (not incl.) into the camera's TV OUT plug, and
plug the other end into the TV.
12. Troubleshooting
If you experience any problems, you can reset the device as follows:
take a thin pin to push the reset button [3] during ± 2 seconds. The
camera switches off. Data files (photos, videos), and the date and
time settings are preserved.
