Explanation of
the key functions
NOTE
Some of the settings in the different operating modes may have
changed, even after treatment has already started (see page 34).
Close the key cover to prevent your device's individual setting from being
accidentally changed.
In the course of the therapy application, always change the intensity when the
strength of current becomes unpleasant or the tingling lessens.
A
Timer = therapy time setting
After switching on the device (F), no time is set at the beginning, i.e. you fix
the therapy length yourself and complete the therapy either by switching the
device off (F) or by reducing the intensity to zero (D and/or J). With the timer
key (A), you set the therapy time that is shown in minutes
the right side of the clock symbol.
If you press the key (A) once, the note "20 min" is displayed. The device now
switches off automatically after beginning of the treatment, that means after
increasing the intensity (C und/oder H), after 20 minutes.
If you press the key a second time, the display changes to "40 min". The
therapy time now is 40 minutes.
Pressing the key once more switches off the time setting.
This key function is not active, if you have set the programs 1, 2 or 3 with the
mode key (K). These programs have a fixed duration of 30 minutes and the
device switches off automatically after this time.
B
Wave = current selection
The device can generate different current selections for the particular therapies.
They are distinguished between bi-phasic and mono-phasic pulses. In the case
of bi-phasic pulses, the current flows back and forth between the electrodes.
In the case of mono-phasic pulses, the current only flows in one direction.
After switching on, the device is in the factory setting bi-phasic (8, see diagram
1).
This setting is preferably used with high frequencies (also see "E frequency
setting") for pain relief. The positive (rectangular curve upwards) and negative
(rectangular curve downwards) parts follow each other in quick succession
without break.
