Slide the cover of the battery case at the back of the device away in arrow
direction. Put the enclosed batteries according to the symbols (+/-) into the
base of the battery case. Close the battery case and push the cover towards the
device until it snaps into position.
When changing the batteries, only use 1.5 V batteries type AA or LR6.
For setting the MEDISANA TDD, you slide the cover below the LCD display
down. Now all operation keys of the device are accessible. You can set the
device according to your very special needs or select the preset fixed programs.
In the programs, frequency, pulse width, current selection and time are pre-
defined so that you only need to adjust the intensity.
At the upper side of the device there are two sockets for the connection of the
electrode line. The left socket
channel 2. Connect at least one of the lines by putting the cable tightly into the
socket. At the other end of the cable, you fasten an electrode. Place the
electrode(s) according to your area of pain (see enclosed TENS booklet or /and
observe your doctor's instructions).
The MEDISANA TDD can be used for all kinds of pain or for building up
muscles, for long-term therapy as well as for acute treatment actually.
NOTE
Observe your doctor's precise instructions and let him show
you where to apply the electrodes. For a successful therapy,
the correct application of the electrodes is an important factor.
Carefully write down the settings of frequency, pulse width
and current selection your doctor recommended. For this, you
best take your MEDISANA TDD to the doctor so that he can
show you the settings.
The accompanying TENS therapy booklet or special textbooks provide you with
detailed information concerning the subject "pain, transcutaneous electrical
nerve stimulation (TENS)", concerning indications and the exact electrode
application for an effective success of treatment as well as recommendations
for the programs to use and notes on the settings of frequency, pulse width,
time of therapy and current selection.
