Double insulation
To ensure maximum safety of the user, our tools are designed and built to
satisfy applicable European standards (EN standards). Tools with double
insulation are marked by the international symbol of a double square. These
tools must not be grounded and a two-wire cable is sufficient to supply
them with power. Tools are shielded in accordance with EN 55014.
Use
The machine is designed for splitting, roughing and brushing metal and
stone materials without the use of water.
For EBK 30-8 and EBD 30-8 E:
If rpm is reduced, also brushes, multiple grinding elements and elements
with abrasive belt can be used.
The user himself is liable for any improper use.
Protective elements and their
assembly
Caution! Prior to handling the accessories, the power supply cable has
always to be disconnected from the power source socket.
Additional handle
Put the additional handle (11) on the clamping collet (3). Turn the additional
handle to the position as required and by turning the additional handle grip
(12) to the right secure in this position.

Putting into operation and control
Check whether the data on the rating plate match with the real power
supply voltage. The tool intended for 230 V may be also connected to
220/240 V.
Switching on-off
Switching on
Push the unlocking lever (1) forwards. Continuous operation will be
achieved by shifting the unlocking lever forwards and pressing the front
of the button.
Switching off
Press the back of the button (1). The button will spring back to the off
position.
Motor electronics
Starting current limitation
Electronic controlled smooth starting provides the start of the tool without
kickback. Due to limited starting current of the machine, 10 A lock-out is
sufficient.
Electronic protection in case of overloading
If the tool is extremely overloaded, the electronic protection protects the
engine against damage. In this case, the engine stops and re-starts only
after unloading and new turning the switch on.
Electronic rpm control
By turning the rpm electronic control selector (10) you can select most
convenient rpm for the specific type of work.
CAUTION! At reduced rpm the power of the grinder is lower and therefore
must be loaded adequately less, otherwise the engine might be damaged.
To prevent damage, the tool should not be overloaded at low speed.
Best work results are achieved by moving the grinding elements here and
there, applying slight pressure. Excessive pressure reduces the performance
of the grinder and increases its wear.
Replace non-round grinding elements or dress them using a flat planing
tool.
For that purpose, clamp the clamping sleeve (13a) using the drawing
clamps (13b) to the desk and fix the grinder by the clamping collet (3) by
tightening the clamping sleeve tightening bolt (13c) using the hexagonal
wrench (13d). The UZ-43 clamping device is special accessories that is not
included in the standard tool package. The catalogue number of this NAREX
accessories is 00 763 333.
Putting on / replacement of spring
collet chuck
Unscrew and remove the nut (5) from the spindle (8), if to be replaced,
remove the spring collet chuck (7) off the spindle, and put the selected
spring collet chuck into the spindle. Re-fit the nut on the spindle and
slightly tighten only by hand.
