Approved Basic Power Tools

Operation of this interchangeable
attachment is permitted only with the
following basic power tools:
STIHL FC 83, FC 85, FC 95, FC 110
STIHL FH 75

STIHL FS 83 R, FS 85 R

FS 110 R , FS 130 R

STIHL HL 73 , HL 75 , HL 100
STIHL KW 85
WARNING
This interchangeable attachment may
only be operated on a basic power tool
with a loop handle – see "Retrofitting a
Loop Handle". The loop handle need
not be equipped with a barrier bar.
WARNING
Other combinations of the attachment
and non-approved basic power tools are
not permitted since they may result in
accidents or serious personal injury.
Retrofitting a Loop Handle
The following models must be retrofitted
with a loop handle:
1)
Not approved for FS 85 R with
serial numbers from 2 49 848 196
up to 2 53 552 82
2)
Not approved for bike-handled
models or models FS 85 RX,
FS 110 RX, HL 73 K, HL 75 K and
HL 100 K
KB, KW
STIHL HL 73, HL 75 and HL 100 in the
versions with a 0°-gearbox.
To retrofit the loop handle see chapter
on "Mounting the Loop Handle".

Mounting the Attachment

Preparations
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, always shut
off the engine before converting the
basic power tool.
NOTICE
Make sure the work area is clean before
mounting or removing the attachment.
Remove any existing gearhead or
interchangeable attachment from the
basic power tool.
