Starting / Stopping the
Engine
Starting the Engine
Always follow the starting procedure
described in the basic power tool
instruction manual.
Place the unit on the ground: The
N
sweeping attachents may touch the
ground, but no other obstacles.
Make sure you have a safe and
N
secure footing.
Hold the unit firmly on the ground
N
with your left hand and press down
– thumb under the housing – do not
touch the throttle trigger or trigger
lockout.
NOTICE
Do not stand or kneel on the drive tube.

WARNING
The sweeping attachments may begin to
rotate as soon as the engine starts. For
this reason, blip the throttle after starting
– the engine returns to idling speed.

Storing the Machine

For periods of about 3 months or longer
Remove and clean the sweeping

attachments, inspect them for
damage and wear.
Store the machine in a dry, high or

locked location – out of the reach of
children and other unauthorized
persons.
