Description of functions
The driver's monitor is used to display the signals from
the Videobox (7 620 200 024). It has been designed for
installation in vehicle consoles (dashboards) and is
secured by way of four screws on the front panel that
are hidden behind two covers.
The mounting instructions and information contained in
the drawings of the installation instructions must be
observed.
Notes
Before using the device, please read these instructions
carefully and familiarize yourself with the device. Keep
these instructions in your vehicle for later reference.
Intended use
The monitor has been designed for installation in a
coach dashboard.
The Videobox Monitor is supplied with power exclusively
by the Videobox (7 620 200 024).
Road safety
Road safety has absolute priority.
u Only operate the device if the driving and traffic
situation allow you to do so.
u Familiarize yourself with the device before setting off
on your journey.
Important: The driver's monitor does not possess any
protection against vehicle-typical interference since it is
connected directly to the Videobox and the Videobox is
responsible for this task.
The following settings can be adjusted and information
accessed using the quick-access menu:
u Access and select the function using the menu
button (middle button)
u Functions for the video signal input – brightness,
contrast, color saturation, color tint (only for NTSC),
displayed aspect ratio setting, mirror for rear-view
camera, user reset*
u Functions for the navigation signal input – bright-
ness, contrast, color saturation, user reset*
u Changes to the brightness and contrast settings
are retained after the power is switched on/off.
* For instance, if the display is dark, the monitor
can be reset to its factory defaults using the reset
function.

If there is no source signal, "No Signal" is displayed for
approx. 2 minutes. If there is no video signal present for
longer than 2 minutes, the backlight is switched off.
A start logo is displayed for approx. 3 seconds after the
device is switched on. This logo is displayed at the latest
10 seconds after the device is switched on.
The display module is equipped with an overheating
protection system.
This is set so that the monitor is switched off at an ambi-
ent temperature of +64 °C. The monitor switches back on
automatically at an ambient temperature of +61 °C.
The display module is equipped with a low-temperature
protection system.
This is set so that the monitor is switched off at an
ambient temperature of -21 °C.
The monitor switches back on automatically at an ambi-
ent temperature of -20 °C.
Within the temperature range of +61 to +64 °C, a red
temperature symbol and beneath it the text "Monitor"
are displayed in the bottom right corner.
The tolerance in the temperature measurement is ±2 °C.
Definition: The ambient temperature is taken to be
the temperature acting from outside on the
LCD at a position of 5 mm below the upper
metal edge of the housing in the center.
