6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
6.1 Safety instructions
All maintenance, cleaning and repair of the appliance must be done with a disconnected appliance (isolated
from all electrical sources).
The use of caustic detergents and baking soda for cleaning is prohibited. Water must not get inside the
device.
Never immerse the device in water or other liquid.
Use Casselin brand products intended for this purpose.
WARNING
The appliance cannot be cleaned by direct water jet (no pressurized water jet).
6.2 Daily maintenance
Before cleaning your device, unplug it and let it cool down.
Read the general instructions for electrical equipment before carrying out any actions on the device.
THE CHASSIS
Clean the frame with a soft sponge dampened in lukewarm water and non-chlorinated liquid detergent.
Do not use abrasives or wire brushes.
Do not clean the device with a water jet.
Do not immerse the device.
THE PLAQUE
After use, wipe off the plate. Do not use detergent.
CAUTION: Never suddenly cool a hotplate.
Lubricate the plate using a wiping pad.
For cooking, use the fat of your choice.
The plate must be stripped regularly using the abrasive stone or a suitable tool.
6.3 Safety instructions for maintaining the device
Daily check for damage to the power cord. Never use the appliance when the cord is damaged. If the cord is
faulty, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
In the event of a fault, contact your dealer.
Any maintenance or repair must only be carried out by a professional.
NOTE
In the event of a fault, unplug the appliance, let it cool down and contact your dealer. If the device does not
start, check your power cord. The device should not be plugged into a multiple socket, but directly to a wall
outlet. For any other anomaly, contact your dealer.
NOTE
Waste from used devices: any used device must, when disposing of it, comply with the regulations in force
in its country *. It is essential to make the device unusable before disposal by removing the power supply
cable.
