VARIA TUBE MAX
STROKE 800
VARIA TUBE MAX
STROKE 1000
The window should be operated a few times after programming of the limit positions to check that everything is in order. In the event of an
error, programming can be repeated to obtain the stroke required.
If a RESET procedure is necessary, refer to the instructions provided below
12.2. RESET procedure - Valid for configuration with just one actuator, SYNCRO configuration, or when installed with Tube
Lock electromechanical lock)
The procedure must be carried out with the chain end (or ends, in multi-device configurations) disconnected from the window bracket.
IMPORTANT: The dip-switch settings must be changed with the actuators not powered up; after every change, wait a few
seconds (~5sec) before powering the actuators again to render the new setting effective.
- Set the dip-switches as follows: DIP 1 OFF – DIP 2 OFF. With multi-device configurations (or with the Tube Lock electromechanical
lock), the dip-switch setting procedure described above has only to be performed on one actuator; the other devices will adopt it
automatically.
- Power up the actuators (it does not matter whether they are in the open or closed position). The initialization phase has begun.
- The actuator starts moving at once (after about 8 seconds if an electromechanical lock is installed) and performs a total closure
stroke (chain completely retracted) and then moves about 5 cm in the opening direction. During this phase, make sure that there
are no obstructions impeding movement of the chain and wait for all the actuators to complete the procedure.
- On completion of the operation, each connected device will flash an orange light to indicate the end of the RESET procedure. The
number of flashes will be different for each device, indicating the address acquired (actuator 1 → 1 flash → pause → 1 flash →
pause; actuator 2 → 2 flashes → pause → 2 flashes → pause, and so on).
- The power supply to the device can now be turned off and the dip-switches can be used to set the stroke required on all the
actuators (as indicated in the table in section 12.1).
- Connect the end of the chain to the bracket on mobile sash.
Whenever a RESET procedure is performed, the actuator will repeat the overlap acquisition procedure at the next complete closure.
If the Tube Lock electromechanical lock is installed, refer to the relative use and installation manual.
12.3. Overlap acquisition
The following procedure must be followed to acquire the overlap (after completion of the RESET procedure):
m.1.1.
Install the actuator(s) on the window (as described in section 10)
m.1.2.
Make the electrical connection to the actuator (as described in section 11)
m.1.3.
Connect the chain end(s) to the bracket on the mobile part of the window. (as described in section 10)
m.1.4.
Give the command to close the window and allow the procedure to be carried out.
m.1.5.
Wait for the window to close completely; if overlap acquisition has taken place correctly, the actuator will flash an orange light
for 3 seconds.
IMPORTANT: If, for any reason, the actuator has not completed closure of the window correctly and stops before it
finishes its stroke, the RESET procedure must be repeated, followed by the overlap acquisition procedure, until it is
completed successfully.
With the window closed, check that the chain is extended out of the actuator body by at least a couple of millimeters beyond its end
section; this guarantees that the window is securely closed and the seal is correctly compressed - otherwise it is not possible to be certain
that the window is completely closed.
Also check that the supporting brackets and connections are rigidly mounted on the window and the screws are correctly tightened.
Self-threaded or self-tapping screws should not be used on aluminum frames because they could tear the profile after just a few opening-
closing cycles; use metric screws with threaded inserts (see guidance in point 10.2).
