9. ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY
The actuator is available on the market in four versions, identified by their power supply:
1. VARIA TUBE 230V: supplied with mains power at 110÷230V~ (AC), 50/60Hz (±10%), with three-wire power cable (Blue, neutral
common; Black, open live; Brown, close live).
2. VARIA TUBE SYNCRO 230V: supplied with mains power at 110÷230V~ (AC), 50/60Hz (±10%), with five-wire power cable (Blue,
neutral common; Black, open live; Brown, close live). The other two wires (Red and White) are used for electronic synchronization
with other VARIA TUBE SYNCRO 230V actuators (Patented).
3. VARIA TUBE 24V: intended for smoke and heat extraction; supplied at 24V═ (DC), three-wire power cable, Red "1" connected to
close + (positive); Black "2" connected to open + (positive).A third wire, colored Green "3" is used for connection to a Tube Lock
electromechanical lock, if required.
4. VARIA SYNCRO TUBE 24V: like the previous type, this version is intended for smoke and heat extraction; supplied at 24V═ (DC),
three-wire power cable, Red "1" connected to close + (positive); Black "2" connected to open + (positive).A third wire, colored
Green "3" is used both for electronic synchronization with other VARIA TUBE SYNCRO 24V actuators (Patented) and for
connection to a Tube Lock electromechanical lock.
Low voltage actuators at 24V═ (DC) may be used by means of a specific control unit (RWA with emergency batteries) or a power supply
unit having output voltage 24V═ (DC) (-15% ÷ +20%, i.e. min. 20.4V, max 28.8V). The power supply unit must be class II approved (double
safety insulation).
IMPORTANT. In actuators with power supply voltage 24V, if not used, the Green wire "3" must be insulated.
9.1. Power supply cable cross-sections
When operating on 24V═ (DC) the cross-section of the power supply cable must be checked, calculating the cross-section required in
relation to cable length.
The table below shows the maximum cable length for the connection of a single actuator.
