Putting out the fire in the stove

1. To put out the fire in the stove, place the Primary Air Valve on the door and
the side combustion air valve at "Minimum".

1. The most important aspect is cleaning pipes to remove creosote (a substance
similar to tar generated by the combustion of wood) that will have adhered to
the inside walls of the pipes.
Unscrew the
chimney cover
and remove it.
Remove the
deflector-
manifold by
moving them as
indicated by the
arrows. You do
not have to take
them out of the
stove.
To remove the
deflector-
manifold in
order to perform
maintenance
operations, take
the following
steps: First,
remove all the
refractory parts
from the bottom
of the stove.
Third, remove the
parts to the sides
of the centre
piece carefully. If
there are no side
parts, go to the
next step.
Fifth, remove
the deflector-
manifold by
releasing the
pins and sliding
it forward, then
smoothly tilt it
down so as not to
trap your hands.
Second, remove
the centre piece
of the stove
carefully.
Fourth, remove
the side parts of
the stove once
the bottom and
rear parts of the
stove have been
removed. We
now recommend
caution.
Slide the chimney
brush down
from the top of
the pipe until it
appears inside the
stove.
